New Zealanders don't need visas to travel to
Fiji.
Fiji welcomes visitors and to facilitate entry, everything has been
done to make the process as easy as possible. You will need a:
a) Valid passport for at least 3 months beyond the period of stay
b)
A valid return or onward air ticket
Entry visas for vacationers are automatically granted for a period of
up to fourteen days. For longer stays up to 6 months visitors must apply to the Immigration Department in Nadi or Suva.

Passport Control
All disembarking passengers are required to go through passport control
at the two international airports, Nadi and Suva. Travellers, who are
in transit, proceed on with their next boarding pass for inspection
before entering the transit lounge.
Customs
All passengers clear Customs either through the "Nothing to Declare" or "Goods to Declare" aisles.
Duty free limits for arriving passengers are:
- 250 cigarettes or 250grams net weight of cigars or 250grams net weight of tobacco or any combination of all three is permitted but not to exceed 250grams altogether.
- 2.5 litres of liquor or 4.5 litres of wine or 4.5 litres of beer.
- Other dutiable goods not exceeding FJD400 in value.
- Personal effects including professional instruments, apparatus or implements
In case of goods specified above the age of passenger shall not be less than 17 years.
There are two duty-free stores adjacent to the baggage claim area.
Climate
Anytime is a good time to go to Fiji. The islands enjoy an ideal South
Seas tropical climate with warm, pleasant temperatures year-round. It
is a perfect destination, especially for those who want to escape the
doldrums of winter.
Temperature range in summer: 24 - 36 C
Temperature range in winter: 21 - 26 C
Fiji's warm, tropical waters are great for snorkeling and diving with
average temperatures 26 and 30 C.
